A NOTE ABOUT HOTEL RATES….
The Midland/Odessa Area is in the throes of a HUGE oil boom. The hotels are taking advantage of the shortage of housing for
the oil workers who are in town to work for the oil companies. The hotel rates are high…. Ridiculously high. We have talked to
the Chamber of Commerce, the Hotels, the Hotel Home Offices, etc., and we have gotten very little relief. Please don’t give up
on us. There are many hotels being built, so hopefully the shortage will be a thing of the past soon. One hotel in town has agreed
to give our competitors a “Dog Show Discount.” In the meantime, you might want to consider rooming with a friend or bringing an
RV if that’s an option for you. We appreciate everyone coming to our trials and hope you will bear with us during these trying times.
